This is my post for tonight's movie presentation at the D23 Expo, which I'll edit/update as the news comes out, and after I formulate thoughts and whatnot... I have already seen some of the stuff for ELIO and ZOOTOPIA 2 revealed earlier today and yesterday, and will integrate my thoughts into this.

10:23PM EST (Approx): Looks like MOANA 2 will be the focus of their first announcement tonight. A real 180 from the 2022 D23, where they saved all the animation stuff for the last half hour and breeeezed through it.

10:30 PM EST: Trailer drop. Promises epic adventure, more pig, a very natural kind of villain, and worldbuilding/expansion of this South Pacific setting. I dig, I dig. Looks very movie-caliber to me. If it was never said that this began life as a D+ show, I don't think most would see a difference.

10:35 EST: The Rock is involved with another Disney movie, a live-action called MONSTER JAM. About... Monster trucks. Documentary or picture that isn't a remake? No release date given.

10:37 EST: 'Kay, we're jumping right into the AVATAR movies now. From water to monster trucks to water... I guess we'll be jumping around a bit tonight.

10:42 EST: AVATAR 3 is AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH. Not THE SEED BEARER, as previously rumored. Hitting all the elements.

10:44 EST: Alright, Pixar time, what's a-cookin'?

10:46 EST: Kicking off with DREAM PRODUCTIONS, the INSIDE OUT Disney+ series that had been previously talked about in interviews. TBD 2025. Takes place between the two movies, so a little bridging of the gap.

10:48 EST: FINALLY! A WIN OR LOSE release date! December 6th!

10:50 EST: Trailer for WIN OR LOSE. Looks like a lot of fun, love the different animation styles for each players' perspectives.

TOY STORY 5 is being directed by Andrew Stanton after all. Concept art shows Woody, Buzz, and the gang all together, in Bonnie's room. She's playing with a tablet. Apparently the story about toys dealing with... Electronics. Smartphones and computers and tablets... Is this a midquel?

A bunch of malfunctioning Buzzes... 50 of them... Is the antagonist. Kinda dipping into the unmade Circle 7 TOY STORY 3 well for ideas, is we?

10:54 EST: Pixar original 2026 is called HOPPERS, starring Bobby Moynihan as a beaver. Not a movie about a clone army of the A BUG'S LIFE villain. Logo gives secret agent/spy vibes. Critter comedy meets action?

It's about a girl who switches brains with a beaver, while her town's mayor (voiced by Jon Hamm) threatens to destroy the beaver home... Love this. Wacky-sounding and perfectly Pixar.

10:58 EST: Zoe Saldanha is starring in ELIO, as the titular kid's aunt. The story doesn't sound much different from what the mid-2023 teaser promised...

The little girl is HOPPERS is putting her brain in a ROBOT beaver, correction. This stuff comes at you so fast. No director named, but I'm thinking it's Daniel Chong?

11:01 EST: INCREDIBLES 3... Whoaaaaaa.

HOPPERS is Daniel Chong's Pixar movie. Makes sense... Bears, now beavers...

Per INCREDIBLES 3... "Brad Bird is developing it right now." Directing? Writing? Producing?

Pixar presentation OVER. INCREDIBLES 3, I guess, will bow in 2027 or 2028.

11:05 PM EST: ZOOTOPIA 2 time. Ke Huy Quan voices a snake named Gary in the film. Reptiles, sea creatures, and more are now in the city.

11:09 PM EST: FROZEN III, 2027. Not 2026. FROZEN IV confirmed. Disney's "Four Seasons" quadrilogy, it seems.

Jennifer Lee says an original comes from WDAS in 2026... Doesn't say what... yet?

11:12 PM EST: Not announced at D23. Adrian Molina was removed as director from ELIO, it was taken over by Domee Shi and Madeline Sharafian... More on this shocking development later.

11:15 PM EST: They're onto stage stuff now, musicals, etc. No word on the WDAS original slated for 2026. Surprised, but also not surprised. The furthest Pixars tend to get announced before the furthest WDAS movie... Still very shocked about ELIO, though. First director removal of Pete Docter's era... He said in an interview that Molina is still at Pixar and had been moved to a "priority project"... ELIO must've really hit a wall, or something's afoot...

Revelation 1 - 5

Welcome to Daily Audio Bible Chronological, I'm Jill. Today's the 28th day of December, so good to be here with you, as we are walking and winding our way down this ever winding road towards the finish line, to complete the Bible together in a year in chronological order. and boy, windy is one way to describe the road this year. but we'll do this together because we are a community, a beautiful broad community of people, with differences and similarities all over the globe. and isn't it good to know that you're not alone in the Journey of life. whether the road is straight and whether the road is windy. we're beginning a brand new book today, the final book of the Bible reading Revelation chapters 1 through 5 today, and this week we're reading the Evangelical Heritage Version, Revelation chapter 1.

Commentary

We started our final book of the Bible today, which is a highly controversial book, The Book of Revelation. The author is known to be John, and the Book of Revelation has a great amount of symbolism. It's apocalyptic reading but many people Translate and I think it can be fascinating sometimes, of the conclusions formed from such a piece of apocalyptic literature. I will be really honest I have a difficult relationship with the Book of Revelation, and so it leaves me in this place where I can't comment much on it, mainly because I don't understand much of the symbolism yet, and secondly maybe just because I see so many people translate it literally as a form of fear. and if perfect love casts out fear then I have a problem per se with people scaring people into a response maybe for personal gain. fear finds a way out, love doesn't need one. so my commentary on the Book of Revelation will be very minimal. I have vowed that I will not speak about that which I do not yet understand myself. I don't want to say words for the sake of saying words so with that being said chapters 2 and 3, that we just read, are letters to various churches. We will read Revelation out through the rest of the year and will do this journey together. We will finish what we started together individually collectively and as a community. 

Prayer

So father, thank you for being here with us today. thank you that you are still in it, amidst the things we don't quite understand just yet. you are with us and our questions and our doubts, you are with us in our difficult relationships. with certain passages and your word I pray God, that we would never use it to weaponize another person, and so often we do I pray that we would not use your word as a form of manipulation to scare people into a response that benefits our ego, but I pray father that we would use your word as a mirror to look into the corners in the crevices of Our Lives. the places that we so often refuse to look at and that we refuse to shed any sort of light on, but you are the light and you said that we are the light of the world. so I pray that we would be worthy of your light, your word lighting up the darkness all around us, by sharing the love of Jesus, perfect love of Jesus, that casts out all fear. And I pray this now all in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.

Blessing :-) Okay to call back tonight so this is for a couple of co-workers first two days ago my one co-worker told me that one of her nieces that lives here in town had a house fire and they lost everything well she was laying in bed with her two children the one girls three years old and the other Kyle is around the same age they're really young anyway they all sleep hot so they sleep in tank tops okay and the mom she was Jamie her is her name she was wearing shorts well I don't quite understand this but but Wendy my coworkers and Jamie's shorts were on fire and Ashley burnt her so I don't know how I don't think it was very serious but obviously went Fire Burns you it actually burnt them to herself right it sounds really bad but she didn't go by squatter or anything so I'm not sure what all that is I know the Red Cross is help you so just pray for that please and then today just a few hours ago at work my coworker Jeanette her mom has had dementia for years and and been nursing home well she's got a call from her aunt that her mom is in the coma and who knows how long she'll live so please please pray she's really broken up 

hello Community my name is Cassie I think I might be going by his dancing son from Nebraska it's been over 3 years since I've called in but God laid on my heart I needed to call in today I'm a few days behind listening to December 21st as it is Christmas Eve so Merry Christmas to everyone but I wanted to call in to pray for Heather from Santa Barbara I don't usually pray out loud so forgive me but sister I am praying for you I'm praying that God fulfills his promise for you that your doctor's appointment went well that you are freed from this dark dark place and that God brings you back into the light that you are able to find a new client or that he may renew the contract with your old client that he'll bring you out of this financial low and that he will fulfill all of his glorious problems will be such a glorious and bright year for you praying all of this in his Heavenly name amen Heather from Santa Barbara which is so funny because the city of Santa Barbara was on my mind Heather your call is heartbreaking you seem to have lost faith and you sound hopeless and you sound very much in a bad place and so I wanted to give you some encouragement I was in a similar place in my life last year around January and I called into the damn family and they begin praying for me my family began calling me everyday and telling me you know how much they love me and just listening to the things that were going on I gave my life to Christ I began reading my Bible going to church really kind of infusing myself into the word I can't say that the depression lifted immediately but it did lift Heather give just give God time just give him time just give him time let me pray for you before my time is up dear father in Heaven thank you Lord for the blessing of another day thank you for so many blessings thank you for Heather thank you for her life thank you first salvation Lord thank you for another day for her to get it together before I even ask about anything divorce sadness Rancho blessing career blessings spiritual blessing friend blessings all the things that you need are coming your way in the mighty name of Jesus I pray amen

HEY THERE PEOPLE OF TODAY AND ROBOTS OF TOMORROW! IT IS I, SANTA CLARK! Chestnuts are roasting on an open fire. Jack Frost is nipping at your nose. Mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again. All the dogs in the neighborhood somehow learned to bark Jingle Bells in sync. Yet retail workers are still more annoyed with Mariah Carey. Snow is getting shoveled, tossed, and formed into sentient beings leading parades without permits. It makes for an excellent distraction as the Krampus abducts children for bad behavior. Fruitcake is exchanged only to find its permanent home in the garbage. Terrorists have hijacked the Holiday office party right before your boss can give you a Jelly of the Month Club membership as your bonus. And of course, the Turducken has returned to wreak its fiery vengeance upon an unsuspecting world! If all this doesn’t put you in the Christmas spirit, perhaps this festive slice of cheer from the Clarktoons will!

Let's make like The Ghost of Christmas Past and rewind back to 2014. Folks were suffering from Frozen Fever, both as a result of the movie and the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. That year also saw Jimmy Fallon take over The Tonight Show after Leno stepped away for real this time, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swung low while the Guardians of the Galaxy aimed high, people still cared about Kanye and Kim's relationship as if either people are worth your attention, Bill Cosby was outed as the horrible monster that he is, and most importantly of all, I initiated the 12 Days of Christmas event. Yes, clearly that's as major a moment as those other things I mentioned. Starting December 14th I would post a new pic or comic everyday leading up 'til Christmas. Our first year saw the Pizza Bites writing their oddball letters to Santa (with help from Mr-Herp-Derp), Crocie visualizing his perfect yuletide, and even a full length action comic starring me as a seasonal superhero. And in case anybody asks: no, the Holiday Knight isn't coming back. Sadly, neither will the 12 Days at this rate. Despite my continued best efforts, this festive event hasn't been able to return ever since 2020. Blame that on the last four months of every year becoming an increasingly busy time for. Should the choice arise, I will always pick spending the season with my family over drawing. Weird to hear, I know. Still, that's not to say I haven't been hard at work. You can tell I have considering this giant page of sketches I found lingering in Clarktoon Christmas limbo. Thus we have Dumpster DUDELZ: Regifted Edition! Let's take a peak to what's waiting under the tree?

[1] KARL THE KRAMPUS People credit that crummy 2015 horror movie for introducing Krampus into the popular culture. To that I say; you're all wrong! Clearly I did that a year earlier with my own character, Karl. Being a Clarktoon take on a German folk monster, naturally he became a big, bumbling goofball envisioned to have the voice of Richard Kind. It also meant he encountered Croc's Swamp Gang the most, Xena and Bumper especially. After years of the two (or at least Xena) tormenting the fluffy demon, it was time for a facelift. Honestly this design is a drastic upgrade over the original, making Karl more monstrous while not losing his approachability. Cuz only in the Clarktooniverse will you meet a cuddly monster who drags naughty children of to hell. XD

[2] NUTCRACKER: REB00TED CAST Nutcracker freak'n sucks! I have made my opinions regarding this boring ballet no secret over the years. For crying out loud, I compared going to see it to the Five Stages of Death. Nothing against anybody who does enjoy it, just don't count me among your masses. Getting me to like adaptations lacking Mickey and Minnie is a challenge. Then again, I enjoy a good challenge. While contemplating what I would do with the story one year, an ad for Matrix: Resurrections dropped onto YouTube. After seeing it I thought: what if the world of Nutcracker was set within the Matrix? Hence we have Nutracker: REB00TED! I plan to diverge more plot details later, but for now you can at least meet our cast. Starting from left to right we have Prince Leon, the Nutcracker Prince who's grasp on reality is slipping. Helping to guide him is the Count Drosselmyer, turned into Love-A-Lot Larry Beary. Don't let his cuddly facade fool you, he will whoop yo' @$$! Alongside his niece Clara, the badass ballerina determined to rescue her beloved and free the kingdom from the evil Rat King! What does the king look like? Good things come to those who wait...

[3] ROSIE MEETS THE HOGFATHER Any excuse to draw Rosie Stardust is an awesome one! Even if the sketch is last minute like this one. During the Holiday season last year this random little idea sprung into mind of Rosie exploring Christmas contemporaries across the multiverse. This would include Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, Hearth's Warming Eve, Life Day, and of course Hogswatch. Anyone familiar to the works of Terry Pratchett will recognize the name. Just like those esteemed few will also recognize the mini-Claus counterpart the Cosmic Cutie's encountered. It's not the Hogfather she was expecting, but she will gladly take it!

[4] WILBUR'S PLASTIC TREE You'd think a collection of coupons would be the easiest to complete. Just like you'd think the monkeys would stop flying out of my butt at some point. Nope, that ain't happening. Blame it on my nitpicky attention to details, otherwise Wilbur's White Elephants coupons are already a third of the way done. In fact, the sketch here is already fully colored just waiting to be posted. Being the cheap sonuv'a bush he is, Wilbur naturally won't go for a natural Christmas tree, instead opting for plastic. No, the other kind of plastic. The kind that'll guarantee some poor tree manufacturer in Hoboken will get an angry phone call from an irate store manager. And in case you're wondering what he sounds like, my ideal voice actor is Daran Norris doing his Jameson voice from Spectacular Spider-Man!

[5-7] REDESIGNS FOR RANDOLF, CUPID, AND ZED My, here's a jolly trio that haven't been seen in a good while. Probably because I keep wanting to give them better designs! This is an itch I can't ever seem to scratch! Since I've listed all three of them together, let's go over each character:

RANDOLF: The cocky but caring step-brother of a certain red-nosed reindeer, Randolf hosts the famous North Pole 1 radio show alongside his bear buddy Zed whenever not hosting the even more famous Reindeer Games. Out of all the characters, Randolf is the one who's design if the toughest to crack. I want him to look young, but not super young. Think early to mid 30s if you will. It'd probably help if I could pin down a potential voice for him. Sam Rockwell is the top contender in my mind.

CUPID: Following some messy drama between princessofDisney27 of Disney and I, the original version of Cupid was thrown out and reworked from the top down. With an extreme hairstyle I 'borrowed' from MLP and an athlete's need for speed, Cupid lives up to her namesake who first pulled Santa's sleigh years ago. No idea on who would voice her if I could afford it.

ZED: Raised by gay penguins on a diet of Polar Cola and smooth jazz, Zed is a laid back bear with a beach comber's attitude.  So long as wherever he is has a heater and is populated by his buddies, Zed will go with wherever the flow will take him. His design is the easiest, being a polar bear in a Hawaiian shirt. One of these days I wanna draw him with his two penguin papas too, but for now we at least have the bear. Again, not sure who I'd have voice him.

[8] BUMPER'S A STAR! A sad truth about my Christmas tree is that I can never put a star on top of it. Everything we've tried is too top heavy. For the longest time I meant to make one featuring everybody's favorite floating marshmallow, finally following through on this desire this year. I made a shape template in Illustrator, drew the front and back of Bumper around it, colored it all in Illustrator, printed both sides out and glued them together. I would've just printed both sides on one sheet of paper, but printers are evil devices meant to torture mankind as a whole. I hate them! But I love this tree topper! ^^

[9] PANICKED TURKEY It's a shame Panicked Turkey didn't get to come out of hibernation this year. Especially when I had some good ideas for tips involving Canon Events, certain cartoon rodents, time traveling, dragons, and Rosie. Chances are I'll be able to use these ideas again in the future, but for now I just wanted to post something with the cowardly bird. So here's the sketch detailing his redesign from last year. Like Karl, this is another change I really like, PT feeling more expressive than he previously was. Hopefully we'll get to see this design in action again next year!

[10] I'll Have a BOO Christmas Without You ...I'm not even sorry! XD

[11] ALIENS OF THE ROCKAPOCALYPSE! Hey look, more characters you haven't seen in forever! This is Phil, the Clarktooniverse's resident one-eyed rockstar from outer space. Back in the day I used to do mock album covers for Christmas, Phil's girlfriend Yezzi standing in for Mariah Carey on one particularly great one that still holds up. Sadly there's only so many iconic Holiday CD covers you can do that aren't just the same generic 'things coming out of a box' design. Heck, it's why the last one of these I did was based on a Manowar album. That following year would've seen an all-new, totally original creation depicting Phil and Yezzi rocking around a dried out Christmas tree in a Nuclear Winter Wonderland. Sadly the full sketch was never realized, save for Phil's rocker gear here. Worse still, these characters have been retired until I can iron out the finer details of their story. Once I do, expect the ultimate comeback tour from the Aliens of the Rock! Just in time for the yuletide / end of the world!

[12] PANICKED WHO? What turkey? I don't see any turkey. All I see is this friendly induvial with a mustache! One who was just drawn randomly with no other intent behind it. Totally. XD

[13] KREEPY KRAMPUS Once upon a time I was able to complete entire comic storylines before Christmas. That couldn't be said for this one comic where Bumper and Xena both try to buy each other Christmas gifts, each of them going after different notable Christmas creatures to pay for them. Bumper would've gone after the wild Nog while Xena would've picked a more frightful foe: the Krampus! This image of the German monster is what she'd find while searching for information online, my intent to be truer to the original folklore than my usual interpretation. It would've made Karl's inevitable appearance that much funnier. Part of me still wants to see this comic fully realized someday. Until then; let this haunt your nightmares!

[14] ANGELICIA, THE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON Remember earlier when I mentioned a comic centered around me as a Holiday hero? The one I will never bring back? Part of that idea involved a literal spirit of the season named Angelicia, an adopted sister of sorts to Finjix's own character Aklamos. Both of us have tweaked and upgraded her overall appearance over the years, this being her last for an intended Sketch BOOM that was scrapped. I really should use this character again, the question is for what?

[15] A TURKEY DINNER TO GO! Like I said, there was once a Holiday Sketch BOOM that was never completed. This Panicked Turkey sketch is one of the few things to survive from it. Ignoring how this design was pre-2022 makeover, I still think this silly little pic is hilarious! Next Thanksgiving I'll make sure to remake this in full color!

[16] THE NOG Along with Karl, the Nog has become a seasonal staple of the Clarktooniverse. For years mankind has wondered where the eggs for Eggnog have come from. Some silly saps think they come out of chickens, but we all know that's a lie! Obviously the eggs come courtesy of the wild, North American Nog! These rambunctious creatures hail in the colder climates, sticking primarily to the North States where they graze on wild berries, tree bark, and rare flowers. Whenever it's not foraging for food it's fending off wild predators, displaying its tusks for potential mates, running for Congress, or raising their young. That is, the young that actually get to hatch. Good luck drinking that next ice-cold cup knowing the Nog is 100% real and you're feasting on what could've been one of its young you sick monster!

[17-18] TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE DOVES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Doves! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Doves! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Doves! Heroes for the Holidays! BIRDY POWER! Back in 2019 I made a silly little parody of the Ninja Turtles based on the beloved Christmas carol "The 12 Days of Christmas". Was it an extremally obvious joke to make? Yes. Does my earlier pun prove I will stoop to such lows? Heck yes! Thus these two goofy characters were born and eventually given the names Currier and Ives by AnimatedTigerGirl. Currier is the one with the bo staff on the left. At home he's a easy-going party animal, but in the field he's a dedicated leader fighting to keep his family safe. Next to him is the nunchuck-wielding Ives, a hot-tempered brainiac with a big heart. Together the two must save their mother, face the 10 Evils of Christmas, and help out their new human friend Ash.

Standing in for their April O'Neal is Ash, one of their few human friends who helps her fine-feathered friends move about New York. Since this story is set during the 90s, she's naturally a skate-boarding tomboy ready to prove to her dad that she's more capable than given credit for. That chance comes suddenly when her father is abducted by the Partridge Crime Family and their ten specifically themed assassins. Now Ash must rescue her dad alongside these two magically enhanced bird-themed ninjas. Y'know, that old chestnut!

[19] SHORT-E AND SHER-I Dang, it's been a while since these two were seen either. I'm sensing a pattern here. At leas these designs have held up the best. Heck, they look especially good in their winter ensemble. SHORT-E wears basic gloves and a jamaica while SHER-I went shopping with EMIL-E to get fancier gloves and a beret! SLAY, QUEEN!

[20] SNOW CONIE MEETS THE NOG Yes, another refuge from the scrapped Sketch BOOM. This one featuring the unofficial mascot of the Sketch BOOMs, the Snow Conies! Or at least one, facing down the angry snout of a mother Nog. I envision these creatures having the temperament of wild hogs, much to the misfortune of this innocent sentient dessert!

[21] SIR PANICKED TURKEY, THE CANADIAN! Along with redesigning this cowardly bird, I also made a special bonus Panicked Turkey tip for Canadian Thanksgiving. It was very last second, going through a few iterations before settling on the final idea. Before then the plan was to either have PT surrounded by angry canucks with guns in a style similar to the John Wick posters or the giant chicken disguising himself as a Mounty, not yet realizing he'll find no peace in the Great White North. Ultimately both were dropped in favor or one menacing Mounty looming over the frightened fowl, which I thought wouldn't work until I saw the final product. Funny how that works, innit? Still, what about the entre in shining armor? That has to do with an idea I mentioned earlier, but I dare not spoil the surprise further than that. Like I mentioned, said idea can be reused for next year. So when Turkey Day rears its ugly head, Sir Turkey turned tail and fled!

[22] UGLY SWEATERS, TROPICAL WEATHER Yet again another idea I hope to bring back, though slightly modified. Originally the plan was to make Ugly Sweater pin-ups for the couples (or friends) of 3K with my friends Finjix and @burningthrucelluloid. This one was the only one sketched before Alec lost his Adobe art programs that would've allowed him to help in this project. Even then, my nitpicky attention to details got the better of me again and too much time was wasted attempting to draw the other pics. All we got out of this failed collaboration were Nerva and her buddy Weed Eater in their Hawaiian-style sweaters, the latter not happy about his situation. He was even depicted eating the sweater and partridge at one point. Who would've guessed the living Christmas tree would be a humbug?

[23-24] CROCZILLA VS TURDUCKEN When I released by Terror of the Turducken posters back in 2020, peeps said they would totally pay to see that movie. Hopefully the same can be said for its sequel, an epic clash between the titular Turducken and the colossal Croczilla! Why are they fighting? Who cares, it's two giant monsters beating the stuffing out'a each other! No doubt the posted to go with this creature feature would've been a legendary one! At least had it not been for my nitpicky attention to details. Plenty of poster designs were drawn up, including this one that was inspired by the then-current Godzillva vs Kong posters. Perhaps I can recycle this idea next year when the sequel comes out and the two fight another giant monkey. Until then, feel free to place your bets on which of these festive Kaijus come out on top!

And if you're rooting for the Turducken, enjoy this redesign of the character where each of its heads feel more distinct. Hey, if nothing else it's cooler to look at than another freak'n ape.

She stopped rattling around 12:15 am. Her breathing was extremely shallow and slow (about 2 and a half to 3 minutes between inhale and exhale). Mom was holding one hand, my aunt was holding the other, and I had my hand on her leg when she let out the last one around 12:30 am.

It took a minute for us to realize she wasn't breathing anymore and the hospice nurse came over, took the oxygen tube away from her nose, checked her pulse, blood pressure, and listened to her heart before patting mom on the shoulder and saying she would let us have as much time as we needed.

My mom and aunt lost it completely. I'm surprised they didn't climb in the bed with her.

I promised Mammaw I would take care of Mom. I walked out of the room a few minutes after she passed and asked her hospice nurse and her primary caregiver what our next steps were.

I knew what their next steps were, I'd sat through helping with all the paperwork for a patient passing when I was doing home health a few years ago but I hadn't been on the family side of the final arrangements until today.

My mom and aunt are the medical and durable power of attorneys (respectively) for Mammaw but neither of them were in a good emotional state to start planning right then.

"When you're ready, we'll call the funeral home and they'll come pick her up. We'll get her cleaned up and ready to go. You don't have to make any planning decisions tonight, call the funeral home in the morning and schedule a time to meet with them to discuss final arrangements."

I called my brother, my dad, my great uncle (Mammaw's only living child), and let them know. I messaged the two relatives who requested a message instead of a call if it was before 8 am because they didn't want to accidentally wake up their kids.

I came back into the room and gave Mammaw one last hug and a kiss on her forehead. I asked Mom and my aunt to let me know when they were ready for the funeral home to be notified. Mom didn't want to wait for them and my aunt did.

She was the first resident in the care home after it opened in November and unfortunately she was the first to leave as well.

I'm rescheduling today's appointments at the office and gathering all of Mammaw's important documents and the packet for funeral planning that we got from them in December when Mammaw was put on hospice.

I'm weirdly relieved because she was so weak and confused and hurt so much the last few months and now she's not hurting anymore.

I know it's not my responsibility to take care of all of the paperwork but it's been a needed distraction. As long as there is planning to do on her part, it doesn't feel like she's fully gone yet.

When the planning is over and the funeral is done, I'm going to lose it. I might be able to push the breakdown to the end of tax season by focusing on work, but I doubt it.

Death isn't hard for the dead, it's hard for the living.

I am exhausted.

I showered last night for the first time in two weeks. I got almost zero sleep last night because night is the only time I ever have quiet to myself. And it's still very unstable quiet because I could get called at any time to run back to mom's because mammaw needs something or gets hurt or needs medical attention.

My entire life is on hold because I can't go more than an hour away from home in case something happens. I feel guilty doing anything for myself because it takes away from the care of my great grandma.

I just can't keep doing it. It's taking a toll on my mental and physical health at this point.

I'm so tired of taking care of everyone else.

When is it my turn to be taken care of? Even just for a little while.

DID YOU LIKE MY COUNTDOWN!? That was fun! I had fun. That was actually more fun than I thought it would be! There were too many good posts to name. It was very fun reading all your comments and theories.  Though side note: animal anon has no problem with people joining her BUT it must be animals and it must not mess with my countdown. No statues! Animal anon does animals, not statues. Side side note: can someone settle the debate of if that emoji is a hedgehog or a porcupine? Because I have no idea. Side note side note side note: sorry if you got multiple asks in a day...my system isn't perfected yet so sometimes I send two (or three) because I forgot I sent one and didn't want to accidently miss anyone (also sorry if i did miss you, still perfecting the system, no one has been animal anon blacklisted, i promise!)

Anyway, GUESS WHAT TODAY IS!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 It's been one year since I started animal anon! How exciting is that?! Phew, what a year we've had together! I mean what better way to start this second year than some chaos since that's how animal anon started to begin with! I will admit, it was slightly stressful coming up with something to meet the occasion of this event. I hope the countdown and this post live up to it. No, I'm not going to reveal myself just yet.. maybe that will be for year 2...😏😏. BUT I will give you some fun facts about me! So let's see; first, I'm from the Midwest (so not Canadian, but close so I do have a slight accent), but I currently live in the TriState area. Second, I am a MASSIVE theater nerd. No, seriously I have been to 21 shows since Broadway reopened in September and I'm actually going to my 22nd tonight. I don't know if this makes that fact better or worse, but I've really only been to about 12 different show because out of those 22, 10 of those are one specific show. Third, I am fluent in German and English. Though, I suck at writing in German, I never learned how to, so don't ask me to do that please. Fourth, my favorite color is red, so you can guess my favorite Taylor album (and coincidently also the show I've been to see 10 times on Broadway...). Fifth, I love to talk A LOT if you couldn't tell by the essays I send yall. And lastly, I can also confirm I am not Taylor...but I will say that I do share something very important with her... tell me your guesses down below as to what very important thing you think Taylor and I have in common, and I'll send some extra animals to whomever I see gets it right first!

So contuining on with my dissertation here, this week I have been trying to figure out a prompt to live up to this occasion. As I already mentioned, my system isn't perfect! And I've been thinking a lot about community lately and how that's been lacking for so many because of Covid. So what I want yall to do is if you get this dissertation of mine, please send a message, post, anon, whatever you want to at least 1 other blog (though you can do more), telling them something you like about them and giving them an animal emoji! That way we can keep spreading the love all day long to as many as possible! 🥰

Today I spent a great deal with an accountant sorting out our finances. Although it was necessary I must say that at some point I felt frustration. Towards me really.. mostly because to some extent I allowed for this mess to happen. However, I am not 100% responsible for it. But, I do feel the need to fix it for the sake of my children!

I will find the strength I need to get through this.

I will find the right steps to get through this.

Once I remove us from this financial hole we will begin to actually heal.

Healing will help us in the future to not make the same mistakes.

We cannot afford more mistakes!

The financial rut we are in is a long story.. it's a story that begins in late 2017.. but before that we had a small financial rut in 2016.. I could begin with our little rut..

December 2016 my partner injures himself while playing the our son. He tears 3 ligaments! 😵 He slowly begins to turn blue.. I help him regain his "color" and help him with breathing techniques. He slowly returns to reality but is in severe pain... I get us a taxi to take us to the nearest clinic, hospital, red Cross.. whatever and whoever is available to see us. That night I'm making all the moves to help him so he doesn't put much "stress" on his ankle.. While he's at the local clinic I'm on my way to #walmart for some crutches. I'm making my way around town in public transportation on a hot winter night. Mind you, we live in a place where it's summer year round.. anyway, I'm sweating from every pore of my body.. I rush back to him and we go back home. The next day we pay a visit to the red Cross.. he gets treated and is put on rest for the next 12 weeks! That's three months btw.. in these three months work is flowing but not like before.. he can't do any work.. all he can do is answer messages, email and phone calls. Because he isn't physical able to work we hire a freelancer.. work is literally cut in half.

Half of the work is coming in

That half if the work is being distributed by 50%

Which means that the income that is coming in isn't all ours.. which means that our bills aren't getting covered.. which means that we have to use our credit cards.. by the time those 12 weeks are up and the Dr gives him the "ok" to return to work, we find ourselves in a financial rut!!! (Goes to mention that in those 12 weeks my partner does not say one word to me. He's angry at the world thus taking it out on me and our little kid.)

Anywho, I see that we are in a rut and here I go wanting to fix it! I feel it's my responsibility to fix it. Although I did not do anything to be in this position, I feel somewhat responsible for it.

By spring time I managed to get a credit card to help us out of the rut. We're able to pay for the ads, continue new ads and other work related items. Once the adds start going we are back in full business. With business blossoming again we are able to pay off the debts we accumulated in those 12 weeks and we are able to purchase a new car!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💅 From spring onwards things are flowing nicely. Work has a lot of positive energy ✨💫

Fast forward to winter...

By this time I'm almost at my due date.. which means my partner is going to be the sole keeper of the business.. my attention will be with the new baby, my oldest kid and healing from birth.

I don't know what happens but.... But.... Work literally drops like crazy!! We went from booking 2 sessions per day.. to booking that per week 😟 work again begins to decline.. mid January 2018 and we have to dip into our savings... Early February.. work is still slow... Mid February.. dipping some more into the savings.. March all savings are gone and work is super slow!!! 🤔 Once our savings are gone we have no choice but to use one credit card.. then it's two credit cards.. then three.. then a bank loan.. and here we are... We find ourselves in a financial rut yet again. But this time the amount of $$$ we owe has easily doubled!!! We use the bank loan to pay off the credit cards.. we use the majority of the remaining amount to pay back the loan and with the money left we use it to live off of. HUGE MISTAKE I MADE BY LISTENING TO MY PARTNER! HUGE.

And suddenly it's June and we are up to our throats. Goes to mention that by this time my partner makes a decision without my consent. And that decision is to rent out a photography studio in a hotel. The deal was for one month only (March 23- April 26) then he would be giving it back. But no, he thought it would be best to keep renting it.

And of course I'm against it. Well, mostly because I see the numbers and numbers don't lie. If the business isn't being profitable then why be somewhere that it's profit is that of 200 USD after utilities. Anyone with a head on his/ her/ it shoulder knows that 200 USD of profit is not rentable. Period.

Instead of giving back the consession stand to it's rightful owner, my partner thinks and feels that it would be a horrible non loyal thing to do... So instead he continues with it. July- December reflect negative numbers. By December 31 we stupidly find ourselves with another rut of debt. How wonderful!

January 2019 comes along and business is slow. I forgot to mention that in between the months of July- December 2018 we managed to use up all three credit cards again 🙄 therefore we aren't able to use them to buy food or to simply get by. Fast forward to mid May and that's when things begin to pick up again. Our business is having a flow 🍃 our numbers are reflecting nicely but we owe a shit load of $$$...

How in baby Jesus name are we gonna get out of this one? Well, today I sat with an accountant.. she walked me up to the first step of financial healing. We have homework to do by next Monday.. this homework will help us set the record straight in regards to how much $$$ we really owe. How much $$$ we produce. How much $$$ is being spent and lastly making BUDGET!!!

This financial toxic relationship of ours is disgusting. Maybe there are people who are off worse than us.. but I don't care about looking at other people's lane.. I care about mine. And I care about healing from it.

Hebrews 7-10

Welcome to Daily Audio Bible Chronological. I'm Jill. Today is the 22nd day of December. And let's all just take a deep breath together and let it go. And maybe even just take a second and evaluate your heart, your spirit, your mind. What is it saying to you today as we are approaching this beautiful season of Advent, arrival, waiting? Where's your peace? What are you- are you willing to let take hold of your peace in the season? And maybe just sit with that for a second and then further the question, what should you allow to rob your peace as we celebrate the season of arrival, adventure? And so as we meditate on the arrival of the Prince of all peace I pray that we're catching our breath and holding onto our peace in these next few days. Today we're continuing the book of Hebrews reading chapters 7, 8, 9 and 10. And just a couple days left in the New English translation. Hebrews chapter 7. 

Commentary:

If you have The God of Your Story there are several days, different days of that devotion in today's reading very much worth reading to see the correlation of Melchizedek who is mentioned at the beginning of the Bible and then mentioned the only other time by David until the New Testament. And maybe you're catching this piece that I'm sort of catching, that we are going into a bit of review from the past and why is that necessary? It's necessary because we forget it's necessary because we fail to see the correlation sometimes in the stories. We fail to see I think twofold, the goodness of God and the truth of God- the truth of God being that it was stated long ago. It's reinforced here today. If God is all truth then he is not capable of untruth. Are there mysteries yet to be unveiled or revealed in the nature of God? Absolutely. Who can figure God out? Who can take everything they've ever experienced from God with all of the knowledge throughout the Bible, line it up and say this is the formula of God? Nobody. And if they can, then I'd be really leery of them. If we remember some of the wording from yesterday's reading, it's easy to think something brand new like a new concept and religion- a new view of theology and new doctrine. And new viewpoint. It's easy to dismiss somebody bringing that as crazy or weird. If we are introduced to new concepts that are not a part of our theological beliefs, a part of our upbringing of traditional beliefs handed down, we tend to think the same thing and so often dismiss people that differ than us and our beliefs. And so we hold onto that wording from yesterday knowing that this is what was happening and knowing that it still happens. But we also go back to the very beginning to see the points of connection throughout the word of God that say while the people reacted in this way, God has only ever been true in the nature of who God is that should cause us to trust him. Can we trust what we can't figure out? Can we trust what we don't yet know, what we can't yet see? Well that is called faith. And isn't that the essence of our faith, trusting in what we don't yet see or know? And so Hebrews is really going to take us back to a bit of review and point out some things that I think are great reminders as we near the end of this year together. 

Prayer:

Jesus, thank you for your word. Thank you for being here with us today. Thank you for being the truth, the life, for being the way and may we follow in your way. May we follow your example. May we look back, connect the dots, look at where you have always been faithful, always been true and may our faith lead us into what we don't yet know, what we can't yet see, but what we can trust in. Our trust is in you. Pray this now in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Show her the love that you have for her and that you will provide or provide for her, for her financial needs Lord. We rebuke the devourer in Jesus name. Lord we just ask that you would just help her to find a job that would sustain her, that you would heal her. Heal her mind and her body Lord. We just thank you so much in advance. Lord we know that that you love Heather and that you are going to shine bright in her life and that this is not- this is not going to be the last time that she calls in or talks to us, but Lord she's going to call in and talk to us so many more times and she's going to show us a beautiful praise report Lord. Good morning DABC family. This is Synergy Sherry in Indiana and I just pulled in the parking lot at work but as I was pulling in I was listening to Heather's prayer from today. And oh Lord, Lord you love Heather and we've listened to her for so long and all she's been through. And Lord we know that you are her Almighty father and you love her more than anybody ever could. And Lord help her see that in some way today. Lord help the doctor prescribe medicine she needs or Lord just heal her of her condition and and make it so she doesn't even need medicine for this. But restore her Lord. Restore her. She's been through so much suffering in her marriage and in her work and just I remember her moving to Santa Barbara, how exciting that was Lord. She sounded so without hope and without...she loves You Lord. Give her strength, give her finances, give her resources. Lord today may some money come in that helps her know that she is going to make it with your help. Lord just give her hope, give her hope, help her to turn to you Lord. It's the season of hope where you sent your son to this world for us. And Lord just help her feel that hope today. Lord just take care of her- don't let anything happen to her Lord. We love her and we just ask all this in your precious Name Lord. Amen. Heather, I love you and I am praying for you and I'm praying that. 

God I come before you with thanksgiving in my heart to worship you and be thankful father for your grace and your mercy and your love, your loving kindness, your unconditional love. Thank you Father. Father in the name of Jesus I come before your throne. Nothing eat, she's not talking and she's not walking and she's going through therapists in different types of Father God of of things. Lord I pray alongside her mom Lord God that in the name of Jesus really soon we will hear praise report that she's gaining weight, she's eating and that she will be talking so much that will all be glorifying your name father God. In the name of Jesus I pray for Genesis Lord that you put the proper people in her life, Father God and that you guide everyone father with your divine hand. In the name of Jesus I pray for Genesis. Bless this little girl you put here. You gave return to her mom father God for a purpose. And she is a miracle. We proclaim a miracle in her life in Jesus name. I love you my sister.
